Jimmy Ogle spent 45+ years in the public sector of Memphis and Shelby County in the fields of parks and recreation, museums, tourism and history. During his career, he served on the boards of twelve historical affinity groups in a leadership position, received numerous commendations (including a Brass Note on Beale Street and the tourism industry's "The Spirit Of Memphis" Award), was appointed the official Shelby County Historian by the Shelby County government from 2013-2019, and was giving 150+ free talks and tours annually throughout the community upon his retirement in 2019.
